I don’t want to have to get 50 kills at a time, and then pray to get the attachment I want. I need a clear sequence of what I’m going to unlock for me to say “right, that’s where I want t get to”. And for that to make me want to play I have to be able to see my end target. And I like to unlock EVERYTHING for that gun before moving on to another. I’m someone that plays Battlefield 4 one gun at a time. You and your friend could get the same battlepack, but whilst they get an attachment for a gun they haven’t unlocked, you get a sweet new camo for your character. That adds a variety to the game that makes you unique in the world. The idea of random things through levelling up, I’m OK with. In these you’ll find a series of attachments for that particular gun. You can also unlock battlepacks for individual guns, which are granted to players once they hit certain milestones, for example 200 kills with that gun. You can unlock generic battlepacks through simply levelling up, where you’ll find yourself rewarded with camouflages, gun attachments and experience boosts. These are crates whose contents are completely random. At different intervals throughout the multiplayer portion of Battlefield 4, you can unlock what are called battlepacks. For those of you who are unfamiliar with BF4 and the battlepacks, I’ll explain.

What I can’t understand is why DICE felt the need to put battlepacks on individual weapons and attachments. I sort of understand the reasoning behind the battlepacks you unlock through levelling up. But, like all games, I have issues with it, and one that’s right at the top of the list is the battlepack system. It remains my favourite game at the minute, and it’s probably my favourite game of 2013.
